Bedtime Sleep Schedules: How To Tips

Every baby is different in their own way. Schedules can vary depending on your child. Another huge topic about bedtime sleep schedules are when to start putting your little one on it.

Are They Ready For A Bedtime Schedule?

In all honesty, you will know when they are ready to be put on a solid schedule. Depending on your baby, putting them on a schedule can make you exhausted as a parent. It will take a few weeks to get a stable and solid schedule with your little one, but when you do it will be easier on you to do everything.

Please, do not rush into the bedtime sleep schedules. I promise that you will know when to begin this transition. Some babies are faster to acclimate to this transition than others.

To get your little one on schedule, here are a few tips to help you transition:

1. Do not let them take a nap past 5 pm

o Unless you want your baby going to bed past midnight, naps should be before 5 pm or you will have a fight on your hands

2. Make sure to get their belly full

o A full belly makes for an easier time putting them to sleep. You can fight them all you want, but if their stomach isn’t full it will be pointless.

3. Give them a warm bath before bed

  • Last tip is to make sure they have a warm bath to calm and soothe them before trying to put them to bed.
    • I recommend this shampoo. It worked so well to help calm our little one.

All in all, it can be hard for you to set a solid schedule, but in the end it will be worth it. These tips should help you for an easier transition to a schedule for the both of you.
